Sergeant Laurence George Beauchamp Stone was the pilot Spitfire I N3036 which was written off following an engagement with a He111 on 11 January 1940 [66 Sqdn]

The attack on 11 Jan is described by Bowyer thus: after the He.111 jettisoned its bombload it returned fire [against the attacking Spitfires] 'two were hit by the Heinkel's gunfire. Short of fuel, Sgt. Stone force-landed near Happisburgh.' (see also the entry for CAMERON, flying N3029)
