Antoni Lysek was born on 25th January 1917. He must have served in the Polish Air Force but the details of his service and his subsequent passage to England are currently unknown. But he is recorded as being processed into the RAF and joining 302 Squadron at Leconfield on 20th August 1940.

Commissioned in May 1942, Lysek was still serving with 302 when he was killed on 5th June. The squadron was providing high cover on Circus 188 in the area of Le Havre. Lysek was lost in the sea in Spitfire AD257/WX-D, probably through damage causing engine failure.

He is remembered on the Polish Air Force Memorial at Northolt - Panel 40.

Lysek was awarded a Bar to the KW (gazetted 20th August 1942).
