1 Aircraft last seen at 3,000 feet 2-3 miles S of PIAVE river flying S, no R/T transmission heard
From one of these sorties a section of four aircraft, after strafing and damaging a barge in the PIAVE, ran into intense L.A.A. which had just taken up new positions at the river mouth. 3 aircraft were hit.
FLT.SGT. A.J. STACEY last seen at A3 making for base 3 miles out to sea, never made any transmissions and never returned.
FLT.SGT. W.B. FORSTER baled out and was rescued one mile off the PO Delta by a Walrus, and FLG.OFF. R.D. FRANKS landed at RAVENNA with a very u/s engine.
