Killed in action flying out of Grottaglie, Italy, in a Supermarine Spitfire VC, serial number EF607, when his aircraft was shot down by flak during a strafing sortie against military vehicles on roads leading to Tirana, Albania, 6 April 1944. Born 16 September 1922, unmarried in 1939 when he was a Wage Clerk, son of Napoleon Alphonse and Ivy Beatrice Bellec; brother of Jean R Bellec; residemt Horndon Priory, Oxford Road, Horndon On The Hill, Thurrock U.D., Essex. Panel 14, Column 1.
