Lindsay scored a triple on 2 July, 1944 in the vicinity of Caen (post D-Day advance) when squadron 403 encountered 20 Bf-109s. Lindsay was assigned to high cover, and when climbing through clouds, encountered 15 more of which he destroyed 3. DFC. 6.5-0-5. he flew with the RCAF in Korea after WWII.
