Served with 457 Sqn during April - May 1942.
He was killed on 1st May 1942 while acting as high cover at 22,000 feet for an attack on the Marquise Shell Factory.
He was last seen following his flight Commander in a dive upon an energy aircraft at about 17,000 feet, about 10 miles inland from the French Coast.
