Roy Gilbert DUTTON DSO DFC and Bar,
An Australian in the RAF, the CO of a RAF Transport Command Squadron. Wg Cdr Dutton formed the first Australian Spitfire squadron. He flew Spitfire aircraft in the Battle of Britain, later did a tour on Beaufighter aircraft and on Dakota aircraft. He led the airborne invasion across the Rhine on 1945-03-24, for which he was awarded the DSO.
