My name is Lawrie Jeffrey, son of Jimmy Jeffrey. Jimmy was with RCAF 411 Sqn. June 5 to July 2nd., 1944. Flying Spit NH341 out of Base B.4 Beny-Sur-Mar, he was shot down close to Orbec. He evaded and met up with his squadron circa Aug 22/44. His story is detailed along with the service of 8 other Spit pilots who flew NH341 in the book "Elizabeth and the Roaring Boys" by Nick Oram.
NH341 was exumed in 1996 and has been re constructed as a two seater by Aero Legends of Maidstone, Kent, U.K.
