Born to British parents in India but moved to Littlehampton, Sussex at age of 2. Joined the RAF in1941 and first operational posting to 54 Sqn in June 1942 operating from RAAF Station Darwin. Posted to 501 Sqn at Hawkinge Jun 1943. Subsequently, joined 222 (Natal) Sqn in Apr 1944. In Dec 1944, converted with the rest of the Squadron to Hawker Tempest Vb. On 28 Feb 1945 was shot down by AAA and killed near Nunspeet, Holland.
