Son of John C. and Florence (Beeson) MAY.
Trained at 4 BFTS in Mesa, Arizona, USA, and later in 74 OTU in Petah Tiqvah, Palestine. Flew reconnaissance missions in Spitfires at the latter posting.
Subsequently posted to 19 Sqn in Peterhead, Scotland, where he saw combat while flying the Mustang III and IV.over Denmark and Norway Jan.-May 1945.
Left active service in October 1945. Emigrated to Arizona in 1963, where he married Beatrice BROWN and had a son and a daughter. 4 grandchildren.
Died in 2012 at Prescott, Arizona, USA, aged 89.
