Comments / Questions:by: The Warshipologist USS WASP Hangar Deck. 2019-07-24 19:24:40 This photo shows BR136 just prior to launching from USS WASP during Operation Bowery on the 9th May, 1942. The moment it touched down in Malta, the plane was gassed and armed, a new pilot jumped in and took off to attack the Axis raid coming to intercept the delivery. reply |
