Crashed on 11.2.1945 with Spitfire MH 451 ZF-B on return of his
second combat flight that day. Undershot runway due to bad weather and possibly over-fatigue. He was seriously wounded and died of wounds on
17-2-1945 at No. 8 RAF General Hospital at Brussels.
