The Squadron took part in an armed reconnaissance of the CALAIS/GHENT/AULNOYE area. Claims - 4 M.E.T., 1 light A.F.V. damaged. 1 M.E.T., 1 A.F.V. Intense accurate flak over the target area. Whilst going down to shoot up something he had seen MAJOR KUHLMANN was apparently hit by flak and he baled out. His No.2 however, saw him land safely and wave his hand. He landed about 5 miles inland from CAP CRIS NEZ. MAJOR KUHLMANN missing.
