Form 541 16 aircraft, operating in sections of 2, took part in leaflet bombing at A.2252, A.2128, A.1509, A.2218, A.0909, A.0816, A.4741. 28 opened successfully over targets. At E.9817 the bombs are believed to have destroyed 6 houses and left the village STRAELEN on fire. MET were also damaged at E.9730, A.0518, A.0030,and the village of NIEUWKERK, A.0518, was straffed. F/O Van EIJK reported missing. His aircraft was hit in the tail by flak, but was seen to explode on the ground,
when attemp¬ting a forced landing. 30 Nickel bombs dropped.
