My father, Alan Carter (13.4.1925 - 7.9.2012) was a pilot with XI Squadron (Spitfire MkXIV's) between 1945 and 1947, spending most of his time at Miho in Japan with the BCAIR Occupation Force. I have a large collection of his photographs which I will happily share with anyone with a genuine interest. One of his most frequently flown aircraft was NH844, which appears to be a very popular subject for modellers.
