Joined the Royal Air Force in 1969, served with XIII (PR) Sqn on Canberras; 101 Sqn Vulcans; RFS Leeming on Jet Provost T Mk5s and 79 Sqn on JP4s, Hunters and Hawks. Retired in 1988, and flew Boeing 757s and 767s with Monarch Airlines until 2010.
