Today 1252786 SGT.BUTLER G.H. was killed in a practice bombing flight over the sea. His Flight Commander, F/L.R.G.C.RUSSELL, was flying with him at the time and had demonstrated bomb dives two or three times before it happened.
However it seems that SGT.BUTLER left his pull-out until too late and struck the water. He had only been with us 3-4 days and it is a pity that lives and aircraft are lost in this way.
