F/S. CLARKE A.B. had a rather lucky escape after he burst a tyre on take-off this morning.
He managed to keep the aircraft straight but hit a bank at the end of the runway. The aircraft had a 90 gallon tank on and immediately started burning but F/S.CLARKE rather skillfully and luckily managed to get out without a scratch. The aircraft burnt itself completely out.
