Just after take-off this morning SGT.GILL's engine cut and in trying to get back onto the aerodrome the aircraft was seen to "flick" and spin into the ground.
It is regretted by all that 1808284 SGT.GILL, R. was killed in this accident.
2nd Jan 1945
The funeral of SGT.GILL took place at 1400 hours at the Allied Military Cemetery Rimini, where the ten men who were killed in the air raid on the 30th September last were buried.
A party of 60 men, 10 Senior N.C.O.'s and 6 Officers attended.
The Service was conducted by the Wing O.D.Padre, Padre SHAW.
