"Beaky" Survived the war. DFC. 2 victories. He fought from the Battle of Britain (Spitfires) through to Normandy 1944 (Typhoon), finally being relieved by his C.O. when told "just done your last op. You are not to fly again and that is an order". Interestingly, he was squadron leader for 164 in 1944 (Typhoons) for some time, a unit made up of many Argentine pilots. As one article to the right describes, over 400 of close to 800 Argentine volunteers were accepted as pilots. Many trained in Canada, and served with RCAF and RAF units. Some settled in Canada after the war.
