Peter Harry Humphreys joined 92 Squadron for the first time on 10 July 1941
He took command of the Squadron on 6th May 1943

He was serving with No 115 Sqn but was killed whilst flying in Lancaster B Mk 1, TW647 of No 35 Sqn, which was hit by Hornet, PX284 of No 19 Sqn during a fighter affiliation sortie after failed to pull away soon enough. He is buried in Bournemouth Crematorium
