Alan Doughty Shuckburgh joined 54 Squadron RAF on 17th April 1941. he is the twin brother of P/O John Shirley Shuckburgh of 54 Squadron
He joined 603 Squadron RAF on or about the 28th August 1941

He was killed whilst flying in Spitfire VB, X4389 of No 603 Sqn, which failed to return from Circus 108A. He is buried in Dunkirk Town Cemetery.
