F/O Martin had a very narrow escape from death this afternoon, when a spit vc he was air testing cut its engine in mid air. P/O Matin unable to restart the engine force landed in a field a few miles south of base. The aircraft was completely wrecked & written off but P/O Martin escaped without a scratch.
