Joined 154 as a Sgt pilot in North Africa in March 1943, flying ops from Tingley
Promoted Fl/Sgt in May
Posted to Malta with the sqn in June following the German surrender in Tunisia
Flew ops from Malta and then Lentini in Sicily, being promoted W/O and then P/O (19th Sep 43, gazetted 4th Jan 44)
Moved with the sqn to Italy, eventually based at Gioia-del-Colle, near Bari on the east coast.
Promoted F/O (19/03/44), and, after the end of the war, Fl/Lt (19/09/45, gazetted 26/10/45)
