Joined 154 Sqn March 1942 as B Flight commander,
Coltishall/Churchstanton/Fowlmere Mar - June 1942, then squdron posted to Hornchurch 7th June
Was shot down 21st June in a sweep over France
Replaced as B Flight commander by Alan ("Shag") Eckford from 64 Sqn
Hugill reported as POW 14th July
