Stanley Cooper was a Pilot Officer in the RAF Regiment, so he flew in the RAF as a Warrant Officer
He joined 154 Sqn in Tunisia on 28th April 1943, just 9 days before the Germans surrendered in Tunis and Bizerta.
There were many air battles in those last days of fighting, and Cooper flew 3 missions on his very first day in the squadron
He went on to fly with 154 in Italy
