Sgt N.Bruce joined 154 in June 1942
His first op was on 21/06/42
He flew with 154 through Jun/Jul/Aug, based at Hornchurch
From 1st Sept the squadron was preparing to embark for North Africa, and there are no detailed flying records in the ORB until mid-December 42. Sgt Bruce does not appear in the ORB in Africa at all, so it would appear at first glance that he did not make the transit from the UK.
But there is a 154 pilot's logbook entry 12th Nov simply noting "Sgt Bruce missing" which indicates that he might have made it to North Africa. I can find no further trace
