Joined 232 in June 1942 at llanbedr, as a Sgt pilot
(One of the first pilots to joinn 232 Sqn after its re-formation in April 1942)
Flew ops with Sqn from Turnhouse, Gravesend (for Opn Jubilee), and Debden
Embarked with Sqn to North Africa Nov 42 but engaged at Gibraltar on ferrying duties
Caught up with the Sqn at Bone, just before it moved to Tingley 13/01/43
Commissioned P/O 13/02/43 (long delay till Gazetted 10/12/43 ??)
Sqn to Souk-el-Khemis 15/03/43, sharing Victoria airfield with 154)
Was shot down 26/04/43, crash landed successfully in Medjez area
Returned to Sqn same evening, but did not fly again till German surrender and Sqn transfer to Malta 05/06/43
Promoted F/O 13/08/43 (Gazetted 17/03/44)
Promoted Fl/Lt 13/02/45 (Gazetted 06/03/45)
Flew ops with Sqn from Malta, Sicily, and Italy
