Joined 154 Sqn as a Sgt in late April 1943, and participated in the last days of the Tunisian campaign
Flew with the squadron to Malta on 4th June. Flew 9th & 10th (scrambles) but then disappeared from the ORB till reappearing 22nd Aug with the squadron in Sicily, flying ops Aug/Sep/Oct over Sicily and mainland Italy.
Commissioned P/O 21st Oct 43 and promoted F/O 24th Apr 44, then F/Lt 24th Oct 45
