Joined 154 as a Sgt pilot at Tingley, early March 1943, later promoted Fl/Sgt
Flew ops from Tingley & Victoria, then transferred with sqn to Malta in June 43 after the German surrender in Tunisia
Flew ops from Malta and then Sicily (Lentini) , and subsequently Italy (Serretella and then Gioia-del-Colle in Apulia)
Made the long transit to Syria (Aleppo) with the sqn in December 43
Commissioned PO 1st May 44 and promoted FO 1st Nov 44
Postwar, promoted Fl/Lt 1st April 46 (Gazetted 24th May 46)
