F/Sgt Roy Henry Cullington served as a Spitfire pilot in Burma in 1945 with 155 Squadron, and then as a Dakota pilot in 76 Squadron. In 1949 he was an RAF reservist. In 1951 on a training flight he bailed out of a Harvard that caught fire. He flew Spitfires, Meteor and Vampires while at No.102 Flying Refresher School, RAF North Luffenham.
