Killed in Action Jun 1/42 age 20. #185 Squadron (Ara Frjn Hu). Spitfire aircraft #BR 950 was in an aerial battle and was shot down by enemy aircraft. P/O McNaughton was killed when his Spitfire crashed in the sea east of Delimara Point. Pilot Officer Pilot McNaughton is buried in the Capuccini Naval Cemetery, Malta.
