Born in 1985 in Pretoria South Africa, to a family of pilots.
Raised on the stories of my Grandfather Anthony Woodley (Spitfire pilot), and my step Grandfather (P-40 pilot), and my father who flew in the South African Air Force as well as commerical aviation.
I thoroughly enjoy learning and reading about the Spitfire, given the family history. I have collected many scale models of Spitfires to cover my Grandfather's love affair with the type. He always said it was the most beautiful aircraft he ever flew.
I hope to learn much more from this site, as well as contribute.
