First day on ops Baled out and broke leg

On the 7th mission of the day, two of our pilots were forced to bale out owing to their aircraft being hit by flak.
1624328 Sgt. Hall, L. who had only arrived on the Unit on posting for his first tour of operations yesterday was today forced to bale out when his aircraft was hit by ack ack out North of Lake Commachio. Information later received said that he had baled out, but in doing so had the misfortune to break a leg and had therefore been admitted to hospital.
