F/O Horrell took off from Antwerp with another pilot, F/O L.P. Piche, in Auster aircraft #NJ 669. They were enroute to airfield B70 to pick up a Spitfire aircraft. After checking in at B70 they were never heard from again. A German was captured later and was wearing one of the missing pilot’s identification. Flying Officer Pilot Horrell is buried in the War Cemetery at Venray, Limburg, Holland
