KIA at 14th of September 1944., while attacking Omiš harbor.
14/9/1944 352sq. Op no.76, attack on Omis harbor. 4 Spitfires Vc with pilots: major F.Kluz (formation leader), H.Okanovic RAF791353, M.Srdanovic RAF178177 and S.Fabijanovic RAF178175. All bombs hit the target. Heavy AA fire. Kluz was last seen trying to pull a/c out of dive. He was hit by AA fire and crashed in the sea. Few days later they find remains of his body on the shore. He was buried near Omis and later moved to Belgrade cem.
It was major Franjo Kluz 12 op. A/c serial JK967.
