CARSWELL, JAMES RICHARD (J/7453) RCAF; age: 24
He was killed whilst flying in Spitfire VIII, JF482 of No 145 Sqn, which he abandoned after being hit during combat with Fw 190s but did not survive. He is commemorated on the Alamein Memorial
