Killed in Action Dec 4/44 age 26. #414 Sarnia Imperials Squadron. F/O McLean was flying Spitfire aircraft #MK 744 on a tactical and photographic reconnaissance operation over south-east Aachen, Germany when the Spitfire was hit by American flak. The aircraft crashed near Grossbau, Germany. Flying Officer Pilot McLean is buried in the War Cemetery, Hotton, Luxembourg, Belgium.
