Survived the war, he returned to studies in Montreal (McGill), he was a veteran of the Battle of Britain, having baled out in one engagement with other fighters (Me-109s) unhurt, he later claimed an He111 destroyed on the 11th of September. He was part of RCAF 1 Squadron, which saw early action in the Battle of Britain, after training at Camp Borden then Trenton. He even spent time in Arnprior from 1944 on (after some time in Western Command i.e. B.C.) before his discharge and return to Montreal for studies. Subsequently moved to the USA in 1963.
