Sgt. DUFFIE, I. (1567524)
Flying in Spitfire P.L. 352, was hit by flak and was forced to make a crash landing at PERGOLA, as he was far too low for baling out to be attempted.
The aircraft was badly damaged and was considered a write-off.
The pilot received injuries which necessitated him being placed on the ‘D.I.’ list.
Sgt Duffie was admitted to No.57 Field Dressing Station and transferred to No. 66 British General Hospital
