Rudolf Waldemar WEINMEISTER
417 Squadron pilot.
From his son: "During his post war family life he rarely spoke of his service experience other than his remorse for bombing railcars that were full of horses. Funny that he seemed to resonate emotionally about livestock death more than the human cost of what was the enemy of the period!
As to his post war story he went on to raise a family of 7 children and manage a national firm in electronic/electric supplies. As he was very gifted on the Guitar and Piano, he also played music in his own quartet for entertaining at clubs or events and did charity work for good causes throughout his latter years playing for veterans in hospital or at the legion in Saint Anne de Bellevue, Quebec.
Sadly he passed away July 11, 1991 at 67.
His cremated remains lay in the field Of honor in Pt. Claire Quebec."
