1942-08-04 Spitfire AB314 PRU mission to Trondheim. Interned in Sweden.
Airborne Wick 11.30. Refuelled Sumburgh and S/C Stathamlet (?). Passed inside TRONDHEIM making two runs over VAERNNES a/d and one over battleboat (LUTZOW?) in T Fjord.
Hit by flak approaching Trondheim - their second offensive. Glided w duff engine to 12,000' towards Sweden, pursued by red flak. Baled out in cloud. Returned to unit 17-5-43.
