LT. J.M.G. ANDERSON (SA.328527) while on ROVER DAVID was hit by S.A.F. in the radiator. After just reaching our lines he was forced to bale out. Some difficulty in leaving the aircraft resulted in his left leg hitting the tail plane causing a fracture below the knee. On reaching the ground he was unable to help landing on his injured leg and unfortunately broke it again above the knee. He was taken to hospital and owing to the compound nature of his fractures he will probably return to the Union of S.Africa.
